Princess Court & Sandringham Way Access Arrangements 16th & 18th November

There will be a final surfacing works to be undertaken in November. We wish to provide further detail on the specific access arrangements for the proposed final surfacing works on A6120/A61 roundabout.

Commencing on Saturday 16th November & Monday 18th October (weather permitting) we will be undertaking road construction works on the North-east corner of the southbound A61 (Harrogate Rd)/A6120 (Ring Road Roundabout). In order to undertake these works we will be closing the A6120 eastbound at the A61/A6120 Roundabout and the South Bound approach of the A6120/A61 Roundabout between the hours of 19:00 – 05:00. The works are to be undertaken overnight to help minimise disruption to traffic flows which are significantly heavier during the day.

Most activities will only be undertaken between 19:00 – 23:00 each night.

During this period, for the safety of the public and our workforce, we have made temporary vehicular access/egress arrangements for residents of Princess Court & Sandringham Way, Moortown. During this temporary closure period between 19:00 – 05:00 normal access will be available outside of these hours.

Please note safe pedestrian access will be maintained at all times throughout the construction period.

Traffic management arrangements will be in place which comprises of a contra-flow (two-way vehicular access) system of part of the southbound (A61) carriageway as highlighted on the attached plan. This will be accessed by travelling southwards down the A61 towards the roundabout to an entry point manned by our appointed Traffic Management Team where vehicle users will be assisted to use the two-way system and access Sandringham Way & Princess Court.
