As part of the first phase of East Leeds Orbital Route, we have been improving a number of existing Outer Ring Road junctions. As part of our commitment to replace trees lost through this work and to enhance the area at the Roundhay Park Lane junction we will be planting approximate 5,000 extra trees to create a new wet woodland. This will provide numerous ecological and environmental benefits including management of rainwater run-off, creating more habitats for wildlife to thrive and helping with management of vehicle emissions.

In March, we are holding two community tree planting days in partnership with colleagues from Leeds City Council Parks and Countryside on Wednesday 13th March and Saturday 16th March 2019.

We would like to invite you to come along to our event and join us in creating a lasting environmentally friendly area for the people of Leeds.
