As part of the ongoing ELOR works, on Tuesday 6th April 2021 we will be closing both Coal Road and Skeltons Lane.
Coal Road from the junction with the A58 to Skeltons Lane will be closed permanently on Tuesday 6th April 2021 at 00:0. This is to allow us to link Junction 2, A58 roundabout to Junction 3, Skeltons Lane Roundabout.
At the same time we will temporarily close Skeltons Lane, across the ELOR junction to complete the construction of the new Junction 3, Skeltons Lane roundabout. This will mean that Skeltons Lane will be closed from 00:01 on Tuesday 6th April 2021 until approximately the end of August.

We will then reopen Skeltons Lane to the public with the roundabout constructed and operational at the end of August. Once Skeltons Lane is reopened we would be looking to permanently close Thorner Lane from just past the entrance to the Crematorium to the junction with A64. We will be carrying out these works using the latest government guidelines for construction sites, protecting residents and our workforce.
